Interview Application

The Interview Application helps Cyber Op Source collect structured information from client stakeholders as part of an assessment or advisory engagement. It is designed to make interviews easier to complete, easier to resume, and more consistent across participants while preserving human review.

What an interview contains

An interview is typically assigned to a specific participant for a specific engagement. Depending on the assessment, it may cover areas such as:

• cloud and infrastructure security,
• endpoint and mobile device security,
• application and API security,
• software development practices,
• data protection,
• logging and incident response,
• backup and recovery,
• field deployment or operational readiness,
• governance and organizational controls.

The exact interview library is engagement-specific.

Interview modes

Where enabled, the application can support text-based and voice-assisted interaction. Voice features are intended to reduce friction for participants who can explain a process more naturally than they can type it. Regardless of mode, the goal is the same: collect the participant’s knowledge accurately enough for Cyber Op Source to use it as one source of assessment information.

AI assistance

AI-enabled interview features may help with conversational flow, follow-up questions, summarization, and organization of responses. AI output is not treated as independent evidence of control effectiveness. Cyber Op Source remains responsible for evaluating interview information alongside other evidence and assessment activities.

Assignment and access

Being a valid Compliance OS user does not automatically create an interview assignment. Interview access can depend on:

• active user status,
• client membership,
• engagement access,
• participant assignment,
• application authorization.

If you open the Interview Application and do not see an expected interview, contact your engagement lead rather than creating a second account.

Pause, resume, and completion

Interview workflows may allow a participant to pause and return later. When you are ready to finish:

1. review your responses,
2. correct material errors,
3. complete the interview using the available completion action,
4. provide any requested follow-up material separately if required.

Completing an interview does not mean Cyber Op Source has finished evaluating the control area. It means your assigned interview contribution is ready for assessment use.
