# Terms

> General terms for using Cyber Op Source documentation and Compliance OS.

# Terms

These general terms describe expected use of Cyber Op Source documentation and Compliance OS. A signed agreement, statement of work, order, or other contract may contain additional terms and may control where there is a conflict.

## Authorized use

You may use Compliance OS only for the client organization, engagement, and responsibilities for which access has been granted.

You must not:

* attempt to access another client's environment,
* bypass application authorization,
* share accounts or credentials,
* probe or exploit the service without written authorization,
* upload malware or intentionally harmful content,
* use the platform to store unrelated secrets or prohibited material,
* interfere with availability or other users.

## Account responsibility

You are responsible for reasonable protection of your account and authentication factors.

Notify Cyber Op Source if you believe your account has been compromised or is displaying information outside your expected scope.

## Client content

The client is responsible for ensuring that information submitted by its users may lawfully and appropriately be provided for the engagement.

Do not submit content that is unrelated to the engagement or that you are not authorized to disclose.

## Cyber Op Source materials

Compliance OS, its documentation, workflows, software, and Cyber Op Source-created materials may be protected by intellectual-property rights.

Rights to engagement deliverables are governed by the applicable contract.

## Availability and changes

Cyber Op Source may update the service, user interface, documentation, workflows, or features as the platform evolves.

Temporary interruptions can occur for maintenance, security response, provider issues, or other operational reasons.

## Assessment and compliance limitations

Compliance OS is a tool used to support professional services and governance workflows. Use of the platform by itself does not guarantee security, regulatory compliance, certification, or the absence of risk.

## Governing agreement

Contractual warranties, limitations of liability, confidentiality obligations, dispute terms, and other legal rights are governed by the applicable agreement with Cyber Op Source.
